What does your company do exactly?
We are an accelerator focused on food entrepreneurs. We couple monetary investment with entrepreneurial education in an 8-week program that we host annually at niu.
When did you start working here?
In the summer of 2017.
Where have you worked before?
Mostly in corporate environments, from Goldman Sachs to The Sultan Center and Alghanim Industries.
What do you like the most about what you do?
While Savour’s business model is pretty simple, our role as investors allows us to work hand in hand with our entrepreneurs and their daily challenges, from the fastest route to market to creating a robust incentive scheme for employees that work remotely. This is what keeps me engaged.
What is the most challenging part about your job?
Segregating my role as an investor from my role as a mentor. Part and parcel of the business we are in is investing in businesses that will fail. As an investor, it is about risk and return, yet as a mentor it is about the people whose lives are about to change when their startup fails or succeeds.
What 3 points would you share with someone who would like to work in your field?
- Understand what you bring to the table.
- Align interests so there is no confusion.
- Focus on long-term value creation.

كان أغلب عملي في شركات خاصة منها غولدمان ساكس، ومركز سلطان وصناعات الغانم
ما أكثر شيء تحبه في عملك؟
في حين أن نموذج عمل “سيفر” بسيط للغاية، فإن دورنا كمستثمرين يسمح لنا بالعمل جنبًا إلى جنب مع رواد الأعمال المشتركين معنا ومواجهة التحديات اليومية التي يواجهونها، سواء كانت إيجاد أسرع الطرق إلى إطلاق أعمالهم، أو وضع خطة حوافز للموظفين الذين يعملون عن بعد. هذا ما يبقيني مستمتعًا
ما هي الثلاث نصائح التي تقدمها لمن يريد الدخول في نفس مجال عملك؟
١-حدد القيمة التي يمكنك تقديمها وإضافتها لأصحاب المشاريع
٢-وحّد المصالح بين الأعضاء لتفادي أي فوضى أوتشويش
٣-ركز على خلق القيمة على المدى الطويل
