Greenhouse Conversations – Staffi

Fahad Abulhasan is the co-founder of Staffii, a Human Resources software that provides administrative services for small and medium enterprises. He graduated college with an electrical engineering degree shortly before the Covid-19 lockdowns. Staffii is his stepping stone to the business world.

Fahad Abulhasan: During the lockdown, my friends and I didn’t have much to do except discuss ideas for potential businesses. We noticed that one of our friends was struggling with the administrative side of his business. To keep it running smoothly, he has to make sure all of his paperwork is up-to-date and manage employees’ permits, salaries, vacations and other things related to the administrative side of the business. This is where the idea for Staffii developed to the website we have now.

In the past few months we’ve been gathering feedback from our clients to further develop the software in a way that covers all HR needs for the biggest number of businesses. Thankfully, we’ve been receiving positive feedback so far from clients who have been using the software.

Personally, Staffii is my first business venture and my first real job after graduating and so far it’s been an interesting experience. I learned early on that connections are the most important thing in the business industry. Taking this business route pushed me to be a more social person. I used to avoid gatherings and preferred to hangout with the same 5 or 6 friends I felt comfortable around. Now, however, I’m constantly meeting new people and visiting new places. Having the right connections for your business can open new doors for you in a way you don’t expect.

Being part of a collaborative community gives an alternative to working from home, and provides the right environment to connect with other startups that have the potential of being big companies in the future.
